Verónica Arroyo is the Director of the Dispute Resolution practice at the firm, where she focuses on complex domestic and international arbitration, as well as high-stakes litigation matters.
With over 23 years of professional experience, Verónica has developed a robust and strategic practice representing multinational companies and major industry players in sophisticated commercial and investment disputes. Her experience spans arbitration proceedings conducted under various institutional rules and involves sectors such as infrastructure, oil and gas, energy, mining, banking, insurance, pharmaceuticals, and technology.
Verónica has extensive experience in international arbitration, particularly in disputes involving commercial and investor-State matters, where she has advised and represented clients in complex, multi-jurisdictional controversies. She also regularly represents clients in domestic arbitration and court litigation, providing strategic counsel throughout all stages of dispute resolution.
In addition to arbitration and litigation, Verónica advises clients on the design and implementation of alternative dispute resolution mechanisms, with a preventive and strategic approach to conflict management.
Verónica is recognized for her deep technical knowledge, strategic vision, and ability to manage highly complex disputes. She is included in the official roster of arbitrators of the Arbitration and Mediation Center of the Quito Chamber of Commerce and the FEDEXPOR Arbitration and Mediation Center, reflecting her recognized standing in the arbitration community.
Verónica is currently participating in the ICC Advanced Arbitration Academy, a highly competitive program organized by the International Chamber of Commerce that brings together a limited number of practitioners worldwide with demonstrated experience and strong potential to serve as future international arbitrators. Participation in this program is widely regarded as a significant professional distinction and an important step in the development of an international arbitrator career.
