Andrea Guevara Terán is a Senior Associate in the Intellectual Property and Anti-Piracy practice at Tobar ZVS. She has 11 years of experience in providing legal counsel.

She advises national and international companies on the protection of intellectual property and intangible rights. Specifically the registration, protection, and strategy formulation in cases related to trademarks, patents, copyright, and related rights, plant varieties breeding, as well as anti-piracy.

Likewise, she has dedicated her practice to urban planning law, working as a consultant on large-scale projects at the national level. She completed an international internship at the United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN-Habitat), representing Latin America at the Nairobi Headquarters.

She is a guest professor at Resolutio-Cemepa and a tutor of intellectual property law for law students about to graduate.

  • Law Degree from the Pontifical Catholic University of Ecuador.
  • Procedural Law Specialist Degree from the Simón Bolívar Andean University.
  • Master's Degree in Urban Studies by the Latin American Faculty of Social Sciences.
  • Certificate of proficiency and expertise in the English language from the Pontifical Catholic University of Ecuador, Ambato headquarters.
