Bernardo Tobar

Managing Partner

Bernardo Tobar is the firm's founding partner and Director. He leads the Corporate and M&A practices. He has over 35 years of professional experience, primarily dedicated to assisting clients in building and growing their businesses.  

He specializes in complex contracts, projects, and negotiations, typically advising investors and corporate clients in multi-jurisdictional transactions, integrating both legal and business perspectives.  

As Managing Partner, he has driven digital transformation and Technology adoption, promoting the growth of technology in the practice of law (Legaltech), positioning himself as a pioneer and benchmark in the industry for the development of the law firm of the future.  

To his professional practice he adds four years as president of one of the largest infrastructure companies in Ecuador's resource industry. Therefore, in addition to providing strategic advising on complex projects, he has successfully faced the challenge of managing them. 

Bernardo has been a business law professor, a frequent speaker at international events, and publishes a weekly column in a renowned national newspaper.
