On December 4, 2025, Ministerial Agreement No. MDT-2025-185 was published in the Supplement of the Official Register No. 178, through which the Ministry of Labor amends Ministerial Agreement No. MDT-2025-006, extending the deadline for reporting actions related to the Organic Law for Equal Pay between Women and Men.
The Ministerial Agreement establishes, for a single time, the deadline until November 30, 2026, for employers to report, through the Unified Labor System (SUT), the following actions:
- Annual training processes with a minimum duration of 40 hours directed at all personnel (including mandatory participation of executives and top authorities), covering topics such as labor rights, gender equality, eradication of violence, and non-discrimination in the workplace, among others related to establish work of equal value; and
- Awareness actions to promote the appreciation of work from a gender equality perspective and non-discrimination.
This extension of the deadline provides employers the opportunity to implement actions that are properly documented and adjusted to current regulations. For more information, you can contact Tobar ZVS at laboral@tzvs.ec.
