REDUCTION OF VAT RATE TO 8% FOR TOURISM SERVICES DURING THE NOVEMBER HOLIDAY

On 29 October 2025, President Daniel Noboa, through Executive Decree No. 196, ordered the reduction of the VAT rate to 8% for the provision of tourism services during the national November holiday. This measure applies to the provinces of Carchi and Imbabura, as well as to the cantons of Cayambe and Pedro Moncayo in the province of Pichincha, with the objective of promoting tourism and stimulating the local economy.
