María Paz Vela joined the TOBAR ZVS team in January 2022. She is currently a lawyer in the Dispute Resolution Unit. Maria Paz focused her academic experience on business law and alternative dispute resolution methods.
María Paz previously worked at an important law firm in the country, where she gained experience in the areas of corporate law and dispute resolution, advising clients in the insurance, tourism and health sectors. Additionally, she completed her pre-professional internship at the Andean Court of Justice of the Andean Community of Nations (CAN), reviewing cases for the subsequent issuance of prejudicial interpretations and rulings by the Court.

María Paz graduated as a lawyer (cum laude) from Universidad San Francisco de Quito.
