Lawyer
NATURAL RESOURCES, ENERGY AND INFRASTRUCTURE Juan Martín joined the firm in 2017. He is currently a lawyer in the Natural Resources, Energy, and Infrastructure Unit. His professional practice concentrates on the administrative, regulatory, corporate, and arbitration areas with particular emphasis on mining and renewable energy projects.
His practice includes sponsorship in illegal mining matters, advice in the acquisition of important mining projects considered strategic by the Ecuadorian State; management, handling, and representation of multinational companies in contentious-administrative and environmental responsibility processes; development, planning, and execution of Due Diligence processes; and, assistance in obtaining environmental licenses.
Additionally, he has outstanding academic and practical experience in national and international mediation and arbitration processes.
Education:
Juan Martín is an attorney from Universidad San Francisco de Quito, where he was a member of the arbitration team in national and international arbitration competitions. Additionally, he is a certified mediator by Universidad San Francisco de Quito.
