Alvaro Sevilla has been part of the Firm since 1994. He is a Partner of Tobar ZVS, and focuses his professional practice in the following specializations:

Competition: He is the Head of the Antitrust and Competition unit of the firm, with practice in Market Power Abuse lawsuits, Corrective Measures, Market Distortion, Unfair Competition and Concertations.

As to regulatory matters, his practice includes aspects related to healthcare issues, advertising, communication, telecommunications, data protection, and food related and beverages.

Corporate Unit: Structure of Legal Vehicles for Businesses, Commercial Contracting, M&A, Project Financing.

Regarding Intellectual Property: He offers strategic advice in the different phases of intellectual property, particularly in matters related to copyrights and plant breeders’ rights. It is worth mentioning that, in 1997, he actively participated in preparing the Intellectual Property Law that was in force until December 2016.

His counseling service is mainly oriented to clients in sectors such as healthcare, food and beverages, technology-based businesses, advertising, flower and agriculture industry, trademark management, communications, entertainment and sports.
