Director of the Energy Practice
NATURAL RESOURCES, ENERGY AND INFRASTRUCTURE Andrés is a member of the Natural Resources, Energy and Infrastructure Unit. He joined the firm in 2015. His practice focuses on mining, infrastructure and energy law. He represents companies, investment funds and lenders in a variety of transactions covering commercial contracts, joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions, project development, project financing, and regulatory advisory.
Andrés regularly advises international top-tier mining companies and he has been involved in infrastructure projects that have drastically changed the lives of millions of Ecuadorians.
He is also an arbitral secretary at the Arbitration and Mediation Centre of the Quito Chamber of Commerce and the CIAM – International Arbitration and Mediation Centre.
His studies include:
- Master of Laws – LLM with mention in International Business Law at King’s College London (2020)
- Practical Introduction to International Commercial Arbitration Certificate at Oxford University (2019)
- Bachelor of Law – LLB at Universidad de las Americas Ecuador (2015)
