{"id":1283,"date":"2025-10-29T16:42:02","date_gmt":"2025-10-29T21:42:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/tzvs.ec\/?p=1283"},"modified":"2025-10-29T16:50:36","modified_gmt":"2025-10-29T21:50:36","slug":"labor-update-13th-salary-in-2025","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/tzvs.ec\/en\/2025\/10\/29\/labor-update-13th-salary-in-2025\/","title":{"rendered":"LABOR UPDATE 13TH SALARY IN 2025"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>On October 28, 2025, the Ministry of Labor issued Ministerial Agreement No. MDT-2025-164, which establishes the dates and guidelines for the payment of the 13th Salary in the public sector:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Public entities belonging to the Executive Branch:<\/strong> payment must be made by November 14, 2025.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Public entities that are not part of the Executive Branch:<\/strong> they may pay the Christmas bonus to their employees and workers by November 14, 2025, or from the effective date of the Ministerial Agreement, in accordance with their budget availability.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>The private sector<\/strong>: employers may optionally make full payment of the 13th salary from 28 October 2025 onwards.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>If the employment relationship ends before the thirteenth salary paid in advance is accrued, the unearned amount must be discounted from the final settlement of the worker&#8217;s or public servant&#8217;s earnings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We remind employers of the importance of meeting deadlines and keeping payment records up to date.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n<br><p style=\"text-align: center;color:gray;\">\u00a9 TobarZVS<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;color:gray;\">This publication contains information of general interest and does not constitute legal opinion on specific issues.
